betting venues in the region before the end of the year.William Hill's joint venture with Codere has been running since 2006 when the London-based giant stated that it was looking to spend around $13 million in each of the most populated regions of Spain.
At the time, William Hill said that its mission was to bring sportsbetting to Spain and it was looking to site betting kiosks in bingo halls and adult gaming centres along with possibly installing betting machines in bars.
William Hill was founded in 1934 and at the end of 2006 (when the last yearly figures were available) the company made a pre-tax profit of £292.2 million.
