After four years of mediocrity England may be on their last legs but the World Champions believe they have what it takes to break Australian hearts again in the Rugby World Cup. The finalists of four years ago lock horns in the Stade Velodrome in Marseille tomorrow to compete for a place in the semi-finals and a possible meeting with the mighty All Blacks. While England have limped into the last eight Australia have reached it with an element of ease thought Wales did put them under a degree of pressure in Cardiff. It would be the shock of shocks if Brian Ashton's side were to dump the wallabies out of the tournament and England will more than likely be parting company with the Webb Ellis trophy tomorrow evening.

There will be much more confidence north of the border though as Scotland prepare to take on the impressive Pumas in the Stade de France on Sunday. Having narrowly squeezed through their clash with the Italians the Scots now believe that a place in the last four is within their grasps. However as the Argentineans showed against France and Ireland they are playing some of the cleverest rugby in this world cup and are able to combine massive commitment with astute kicking and running. After difficult clashes against the French and the Irish though will they be starting to tire? Scotland will give it one hell of a go in the French capital on Sunday and though Scotland have not beaten Argentina in 18 years theres still a huge belief amongst the tartan army.
