You know the one "It's Setanta, not sultana.....". Makes you not want to have the service because the ad is so bloody annoying. In fact makes you want to heave out the contents of your stomach.
It doesn't take Des Lynam to figure out a future for Setanta I signed up to watch the Arsenal champions league game versus Sparta Prague earlier in the season.  I only wanted the one game I was enticed by the £9.99 and no contract offer.  After all it was like a cheap pay per view deal I figured.

So I signed up the initial direct debit was not £9.99 there is a £10 connection fee. Annoying? Therefore I canceled my direct debit as I was billed around £21 for my first month.

Since cancelling I have been called and texted almost daily by the call centre.  They demand to know why I have not met my obligations on paying a further £9.99 they explain the small print makes it very clear I must pay a further installment I have requested they send me a letter - possibly due to the postal strike they claim they have sent this but continue harass me daily.  Is this a customer retention method conducive to earning money?

To top it all off my Father-in-law gets it free via Virgin. A fact he delights in telling me every time he see's me.

I hope Setanta go to the wall soon as I am not sure I can stand the stress of telling them to get stuffed every day for much longer with any luck the rights will go to a terrestrial operator or Sky and I will once gain benefit from a complete coverage scenario.

The name is stupid. The money they spent in telling people that it is not Santana could be better spent on good ads or professional customer support
